I’ve loved fashion ever since I was a little girl. I grew up around it, having grandparents and an aunt that owned fashion boutiques. Versace and Armani weren’t my first spoken words, but they should have been as far as I’m concerned. All kidding aside, I learned to appreciate beautiful design and fabrics at a very young age, and have continued to love the fashion industry.
Every year the Downtown Development Authority hosts a Fashion Week in Delray Beach, with 2017 marking its 4th year. I was super excited to attend, especially considering that SoFlo Moms on the Go (Heather from Local Mom Scoop and I) were invited to video a special edition straight from the show itself!
LoveRich Boutique was gracious enough to dress Heather and I. What I love is that you can find unique on-trend pieces at LoveRich, located on 5th Avenue just north of Atlantic Ave. Owner, Jelena wanted her boutique to have a closet feeling – and she has definitely achieved it. Her amazing eye for finding clothing that will flatter just about everyone. (You can even shop online!)
Delray Fashion Week Kickoff
Opening night, An Evening Downtown, featured music, entertainment, evening wear and hair designs from the local boutiques in Delray Beach.
White Party and Fashion Show
Thursday night, Delray on the Runway, was a blast! Dressed in all white, we headed down to Il Bacio for a showcase of Delray’s designers.
This was, by far, my favorite show. As models strutted past me, I caught myself saying numerous times, “I want that” and “I need that”; but what impressed me most is the amount of talent in this small square radius of Florida.
Here is the fashion show in its entirety – please excuse the amateur video as I took it from my Samsung and tried to keep a steady hand!
The show continues tomorrow with the Fashion Week Boutique shopping event, consisting of pop-up boutiques featuring all of the clothing and accessories that were showcased during the Fashion Week.

Which outfit was your favorite? I’d love to hear!
